Not your everyday mountain pass. The top is a veritable circus, with Indian tourists skiing, taking yak, donkey and skidoo rides and generally having a great time. It’s a long, easy climb up from Manali, but the road is quite busy. To get away from the madness at the top, move a few metres into Lahaul and enjoy the wonderful scenery.
